With only ten days left until Christmas, many people (like myself) are still searching for the perfect gifts. In my internet shopping adventures I discovered some unique ways to share my love of the middle ages and medieval manuscripts with friends and family. There are some very creative gifts for the medievalist in your life.
For example, for the woman on your list who loves high fashion and medieval architecture, you might consider this dress.
Or you could choose from the already created ensembles that represent a medieval theme.
And we can’t forget the classic ‘book’ laptop cover.
For the kids, who are the future researchers of medieval manuscripts, a book is always appropriate. Especially when it is a book about making a medieval book.
Finally, we come to items that could be perfect for those who are hard to shop for. Such as a simple poster. This is my personal favorite.
And if you don’t have the time to search the stores, there is also the homemade gift. You could make a simple cake,
or some amazing cookies.
In fact, there are many more items out there that can bring the images from the Middle Ages to your friends and family this Christmas. There are many sites that provide an option to customize or create your own design of a medieval manuscript on any mug or mousepad. Maybe I should write a letter to Santa this year.
